Fona Classes (Groups)

Fona classes are all group classes for which Fona has set the schedules and skill levels. Students join a group that fits them. For all new students, Fona associates will confirm skill levels and recommend classes.

Lesson Content

All Fona classes follow the standard Fona School curriculum. That means that the specific lesson content, flow and so on is constantly adjusted and customized for the students in the class, and their exact needs.

Class Size

Fona classes may have up to 10 students in one class.

Lesson Length & Frequency

Lessons are 45 minutes in length, and are held basically once every week except on holidays.

Lesson Language

The language used to teach each Fona class is decided when that class is set up. Ask the Fona receptionist about each individual class. The language used for a specific class can be changed, but only if all the students agree.

Advantages

  • You naturally develop a circle of friends with similar hobbies and values.
  • Being able to watch the other students dance gives you even more energy, and takes you to a new level of ability yourself.
  • Every lesson is like a party. Learning and practicing has never been so much fun.

 Client Class or Fona Class?

Which class type is better for you, depends on you and your needs. Think about the advantages described for each class type, and your own personality, objectives, goals, and so on to determine what you think would be best for you.

One criterion that is easy to understand is that if you join a Fona class you know for sure that you will follow the exclusive and exceptional Fona School program, as is explained under the Lesson Content heading. In a client class, you can dance in the style you want, to the music you choose, and with the focus you want.

If you still have trouble deciding which would be best, feel free to try both, and/or to consult with a Fona associate.

Of course you're also welcome to switch back and forth at any time, or to take multiple lesson types simultaneously.

 Membership & Lesson Fees

Regardless of class type, your first lesson is free.
There is a single, one-time membership fee of ¥5,000 per individual, for adults and children alike. There is no annual membership fee, nor any kind of maintenance fee. The only ongoing fees are for the lessons you take.
Lesson fees are to be paid in advance at the end of each month for the following month.
